Required environment

Use the right platform before testing hotkeys.

Compatibility starts with the trading platform, operating system, broker permissions, and whether the user can safely test the workflow in demo.

Compatibility details

Confirm platform, broker, and account behavior.

A working installation is not enough. The user must also confirm that the broker, account, and symbol behavior match the intended workflow.

MetaTrader 5 Desktop on Windows

The current product positioning is MetaTrader 5 Desktop on Windows. The site should not be interpreted as claiming support for MT5 mobile, MT5 web, MT4, TradingView, cTrader, NinjaTrader, or any future platform version unless a separate page clearly states that support.

Because the workflow is built around MT5 desktop behavior, users should confirm that their MT5 terminal is current, stable, and able to run the delivered software file before relying on any mapped command.

Broker and account permissions

Broker behavior matters. Some brokers, account types, prop firms, or trading environments may restrict Expert Advisors, trade-management tools, automated order handling, or specific types of order modification. The user is responsible for confirming those rules before purchase and before use.

Even when the software loads correctly, a broker may reject an order, prevent a modification, widen spread, apply stop-level rules, or behave differently across symbols. Compatibility does not guarantee execution quality or acceptance of every requested action.

Symbols, suffixes, and market types

MT5 brokers often use custom symbol names. Gold may appear as XAUUSD, XAUUSDm, XAUUSD.r, or another broker-specific name. Forex pairs, indices, metals, and crypto CFDs can also have different contract specifications and symbol availability.

This matters for current-symbol workflows, close-profit commands, breakeven actions, and trailing-stop behavior. Users should test each intended symbol separately instead of assuming all symbols behave the same.

Hardware boundary

Keyboard and macro pad hardware is optional.

CIQ Traders Keyboard is software-only. Hardware images are illustrative and hardware is not included.

Standard keyboard use

Users may use the configured keyboard commands directly from a standard keyboard if their setup supports the workflow. Laptop backup shortcuts are intended to help users who do not use a dedicated external macro pad.

Before live use, every shortcut should be tested in demo. A key that works in one environment may behave differently if focus, keyboard layout, or operating-system input handling changes.

Macro pad use

A compatible programmable macro pad may be used if it can send the configured keys or backup shortcuts. The macro pad is only an input device. It does not understand MT5, account scope, symbol selection, or market risk.

Users are responsible for programming, labeling, and testing their own hardware. If a physical label does not match the software mapping, the workflow is not ready for live use.

Before purchase or use

Use this compatibility checklist.

This page is intended to reduce surprises before installation, testing, or live trading.

  • Confirm you use MetaTrader 5 Desktop on Windows.
  • Confirm the broker/account allows Expert Advisors or trade-management tools.
  • Confirm Algo Trading is enabled where required.
  • Confirm the exact broker symbol names and suffixes.
  • Confirm you can test on a demo account before live use.
  • Confirm your keyboard or macro pad can send the intended key inputs.
  • Confirm you have read the refund policy, license, support page, and risk disclaimer.

What compatibility does not mean

Compatibility does not mean the software will improve trading results, remove risk, prevent losses, avoid slippage, or bypass broker rules. It only means the environment may support the intended workflow.

CIQ Traders Keyboard does not provide signals, recommend trades, act as a broker, guarantee execution, or guarantee profit. It is a manual workflow support tool for MT5 desktop users.

Product evaluation notes

Review product pages to understand what is included, what is not included, and which setup requirements apply before purchase. CIQ Traders Keyboard is a software-only product for supported MT5 Desktop and Windows workflows.

The product pages explain features, setup, compatibility, keyboard mapping, trade-management workflows, support expectations, and purchase routing. They do not provide trading advice, market predictions, broker services, trading signals, or profit guarantees.

Before live use, demo test every command and layout. Confirm the active symbol, lot size, command scope, broker restrictions, and MT5 permissions so the workflow behaves as expected in your environment.
