Compatibility
Read this before buying or installing the software. CIQ Traders Keyboard is a software-only MT5 desktop workflow tool, not a physical keyboard, broker service, signal tool, or cross-platform trading app.
Compatibility answers
Compatibility depends on the user’s MT5 Desktop environment, Windows setup, broker symbols, and input device behavior.
The product is intended for MT5 Desktop workflows, not MT5 mobile or MT5 web.
Use a supported Windows desktop setup and test permissions, chart focus, and keyboard input in demo before live use.
Hardware is not included. Any external macro pad should be programmed and labeled by the user, then tested in demo.
Broker suffixes and symbol names can differ, so test every command on the exact symbol used in MT5.
Required environment
Compatibility starts with the trading platform, operating system, broker permissions, and whether the user can safely test the workflow in demo.
| Requirement | Status | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| MetaTrader 5 Desktop | Required | Designed for MT5 desktop, not MT5 mobile or MT5 web. |
| Windows PC | Required | Use on Windows where MT5 desktop and keyboard input are available. |
| Algo Trading enabled | Required | MT5 must allow Expert Advisors or trade-management tools to manage orders. |
| Chart focus | Required | Click the MT5 chart before using hotkeys if your workflow requires focus. |
| Physical keyboard/macropad | Optional | Hardware is not included. Laptop backup shortcuts are included. |
| TradingView | Not directly supported | Future companion tools may be separate products. |
| MT4/cTrader/NinjaTrader | Not included | Would require separate platform-specific versions. |
Some brokers or prop firms may restrict EAs, automated trading, or trade-management tools. Confirm your rules before use.
Compatibility details
A working installation is not enough. The user must also confirm that the broker, account, and symbol behavior match the intended workflow.
The current product supports MetaTrader 5 Desktop on Windows. It does not claim support for MT5 mobile, MT5 web, MT4, TradingView, cTrader, NinjaTrader, or another platform unless a separate page clearly states that support.
Because the workflow is built around MT5 desktop behavior, users should confirm that their MT5 terminal is current, stable, and able to run the delivered software file before relying on any mapped command.
Broker behavior matters. Some brokers, account types, prop firms, or trading environments may restrict Expert Advisors, trade-management tools, automated order handling, or specific types of order modification. The user is responsible for confirming those rules before purchase and before use.
Even when the software loads correctly, a broker may reject an order, prevent a modification, widen spread, apply stop-level rules, or behave differently across symbols. Compatibility does not guarantee execution quality or acceptance of every requested action.
MT5 brokers often use custom symbol names. Gold may appear as XAUUSD, XAUUSDm, XAUUSD.r, or another broker-specific name. Forex pairs, indices, metals, and crypto CFDs can also have different contract specifications and symbol availability.
This matters for current-symbol workflows, close-profit commands, breakeven actions, and trailing-stop behavior. Users should test each intended symbol separately instead of assuming all symbols behave the same.
Hardware boundary
CIQ Traders Keyboard is software-only. Hardware images are illustrative and hardware is not included.
Users may use the configured keyboard commands directly from a standard keyboard if their setup supports the workflow. Laptop backup shortcuts are intended to help users who do not use a dedicated external macro pad.
Before live use, every shortcut should be tested in demo. A key that works in one environment may behave differently if focus, keyboard layout, or operating-system input handling changes.
A compatible programmable macro pad may be used if it can send the configured keys or backup shortcuts. The macro pad is only an input device. It does not understand MT5, account scope, symbol selection, or market risk.
Users are responsible for programming, labeling, and testing their own hardware. If a physical label does not match the software mapping, the workflow is not ready for live use.
Before purchase or use
This page is intended to reduce surprises before installation, testing, or live trading.
Compatibility does not mean the software will improve trading results, remove risk, prevent losses, avoid slippage, or bypass broker rules. It only means the environment may support the intended workflow.
CIQ Traders Keyboard does not provide signals, recommend trades, act as a broker, guarantee execution, or guarantee profit. It is a manual workflow support tool for MT5 desktop users.
